Each unique mosaic is hand cut out of a
variety of tesserae (china, pottery, tiles, etc.) I really enjoy the process of
taking a variety of unrelated pieces and turning them into a completed mosaic.
It is very appealing to me the way that the colors and textures in mosaics combine to
create the urge to touch and look closer. The mosaics are divided into sections in order to make viewing quicker and easier. Most of my pieces are made in a traditional mortar and grout process to allow them to stand up well to the outdoor elements. It is recommended that you bring your mosaics inside during freezing temperatures unless the piece is designed to stay out all year long. Even though I take every step possible to increase the ability to withstand weather the care of mosaics not suitable to be left outdoors in the winter is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Please note that if an item has been sold I may be able to create a similar piece depending upon availability of the tesserae (mosaic materials) and/or base. Because each item is one of a kind the recreated piece will not look exactly like the original but may be similar in style and will be based upon availability of materials.
